The City of Park Hills is currently seeking two engaged and community-minded individuals to serve on its Citizen Advisory Committee. Established through Ordinance No. 1616-25, this committee plays an important role in supporting the future growth and development of Park Hills. Members serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council and Mayor, helping review initiatives, explore opportunities, and provide valuable citizen input on key issues affecting our community.

Today, the 8,238-acre St. Joe State Park is Missouri's third largest state park, with approximately 2,000 acres set aside for the state's premier off-road vehicle (ORV) riding area. Contact the park office at (573) 431-1069 for more information about the special rules and regulations that apply.
The historic mill buildings, where St. Joe Minerals once processed the lead ore, still stand nearby and have been designated as Missouri Mines State Historic Site. There you can enjoy an excellent mining museum featuring a large collection of geological specimens and antique mining and milling equipment.
Mineral Area College offers Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees to students throughout the area. The college offers student housing. Central Methodist University and the University of Missouri-St. Louis offer Bachelor's degrees at the M.A.C. campus.

City Facts
Park Hills is a city in St. Francois County, Missouri. The population was 8,759 at the 2010 census.
The city was formed through an unique four-way merger, allowed by the Missouri legislature in January 1994. The residents of Flat River, Elvins, Esther and the village of Rivermines voted for consolidation into the new city of Park Hills to strengthen economic development.
United States Marine and WWII Medal of Honor recipient Darrell S. Cole was born July 20, 1920 in Flat River (now part of Park Hills), Missouri. He attended high school in Esther, Missouri (now part of Park Hills) graduating in 1938. The second USS Cole (DDG-67), an Arleigh Burke-class Aegis-equipped guided missile destroyer was named for Sergeant Cole.
There are many reasons to visit Park Hills, but one that continually attracts many people is Columbia Park. This beautiful park, located in the center of the city, includes a walking trail, several playgrounds, an 18-hole disc golf course, a public swimming pool, and an outdoor amphitheater where numerous concerts, featuring a variety of genres, are held each summer.

Parks & Grounds Seasonal Employees Employees will assist with mowing, weeding, and caring for City parks, including the Sports Complex. Park Booth Attendant – Trailhead (St. Joe State Park Fairgrounds Drive Entrance) The City of Park Hills is also hiring for a Park Booth Attendant position.
