Community Policing

The Police Department serves youth in the city through a designated school safety officer. You can dispose of old, unused medications during regular business hours at the Park Hills Police Dept. The department provides information for teens, and methods to help secure your computer. You can also learn of ways to safeguard your family, and to protect your home.

Please report any suspicious eletronic solicitations aimed at children immediately. If you wish to receive e-mail notice of sex offenders re-locating near you, click here to receive reports from the State Highway Patrol. Check the Missouri Sex Offender Registration List regarding adults involved in the activities of your children. Departmental Overview

Annually, the police department responds to an average of 14,490 calls for service. The 2015 Uniform Crime Report showed Park Hills as the 199th safest city in the U.S. You can view Park Hills and other Missouri city reports of their FBI statistics here. The department patrols an average of approximately 128,000 miles per year, making about an average of 2,090 traffic stops and an average of 1,146 arrests. On average, this includes about 152 narcotic related arrests, 45 D.W.I. arrests, 48 for stealing and 13 for burglary. The department works an average of 176 vehicle accidents, and very few, or no fatal crashes per year. The police department issues an annual average of 2,260 tickets through the Municipal Court.

The Park Hills Police Department consists of thirteen full time police officers and several part-time officers. The police department is headed by Chief William D. Holloway, a 35 year veteran to law enforcement. We patrol over 60 miles of city roadways covering approximately 20 square miles. The police department takes an active, community oriented approach to law enforcement by educating local youth about the dangers of drug abuse, domestic violence, and stranger danger as well as promoting positive community activities. All of these programs have proven to be extremely valuable to the community.
