Privacy Policy

The City of Park Hills does not intend to collect personally identifiable information (PII) from visitors to the city's web sites. Information sent to the city via e-mail may be used by the city staff to process complaints, permits or other requested activities. The City of Park Hills is a public governmental body subject to Chapter 610 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, commonly known as the Sunshine Law. If an appropriate request is made to the City Clerk's office for information that is subject to disclosure by the Sunshine Law, the City of Park Hills will be required to disclose the information requested, even if it may include your personally identifiable information (PII).

The City of Park Hills may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on the City of Park Hills or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Park Hills and its Web sites, or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of citizens of Park Hills, its Web sites, or the public. The City of Park Hills supports and complies with the Child Online Protection Act (15 USC 6501). However, we have no way of distinguishing the age of individuals who access our Web site and may collect information from all individuals, including those that may be under the age of 13 years and apply the same privacy policy to those users. If a child under the age of 13 years has provided us with personal information without the consent of their parent or guardian, the parent or guardian should contact us to remove that information from any city database and delete the data from any city records.

Web Content Policy

The purpose of the City's web site is to provide information about the City's government, services and attractions. Information included in the City of Park Hills web site is believed to be accurate, but it is not guaranteed. The City of Park Hills is not liable for any potential errors, omissions or outdated information. Assessing accuracy and reliability of information is the responsibility of the user. The City's web site may provide links to web sites outside the City's web site that also serve this purpose. The City is not responsible for and does not endorse the information on any linked web site unless the City's web site states otherwise. The City Council and staff will decide if a requested link serves the general purpose of the City's web site.

Electronic versions of the minutes and the municipal code are provided for information only and do not comprise the official versions of the documents. If inconsistencies exist between these electronic versions and the original documents kept on record in the office of the City Clerk, the original documents will be considered definitive.
