Policy Regarding Plan Requirements
Background:
The City of Park Hills has adopted the
2006 International Building Codes. The City of Park Hills also has the 2005 National
Electrical Code in effect, applicable to all property within the city limits. All residential property
is subject to the provisions of the 2006 edition of the International Residential Code.
Community Development staff has plan requirements available in convenient brochures at the City Hall entry foyer. A list of occupancy requirements can be viewed using the link below.

The city was formed through an unique four-way merger, allowed by the Missouri legislature in January 1994. The residents of Flat River, Elvins, Esther and the village of Rivermines voted for consolidation into the new city of Park Hills to strengthen economic development.
United States Marine and Medal of Honor recipient Darrell Cole was born July 20, 1920 in Flat River (now part of Park Hills), Missouri. He attended high school in Esther, Missouri (now part of Park Hills) graduating in 1938. The second USS Cole (DDG-67), an Arleigh Burke-class Aegis-equipped guided missile destroyer was named for Sergeant Cole.
